Healthy Eating./Nutrition!

We believe good health and healthy living starts with the foods you consume! The preponderance of scientific evidence clearly suggests that a whole grain/whole food diet is the best way to have and maintain your natural weight and great health throughout your life! Seventy five percent and arguably some would suggest an even higher percentage of your health or lack thereof is determined by the foods we eat! Understanding food labeling and the ingredients in our foods is paramount to a healthy weight and healthy lifestyle. Our suggested meal planning guides for all people are:

  1. Eat only breads/pasta/rice/cereal that is whole wheat and/or whole grain.
  2. Eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the day and evening.
  3. Eat a high fiber diet of a variety of Legumes: green beans, soybeans, peas, adzuki beans, black beans, black eyed beans, cannelloni beans, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, lentils, pinto beans, white beans.
  4. Limit fat intake of any kind and eliminate any intake of processed, enriched and/or hydrogenated foods from any source.
  5. Drink plenty of fresh water every day.
  6. Minimize the use of any cooking oils.

Living a healthy lifestyle and consuming a daily diet of whole foods/whole grains will allow you to:

.

  • live longer
  • look and feel better and younger
  • lose weight
  • increase your stamina and energy
  • lower your levels of total and bad cholesterol
  • prevent and possibly reverse heart and coronary disease
  • lower your risk of prostate, breast and many other cancers
  • prevent and reverse diabetes
  • avoid surgery
  • vastly reduce the need for pharmaceutical drugs
